Euroa is a town in Victoria, Australia, located in the north-east corner of the state. Euroa is derived from an Aboriginal word that means ‘joyful’ in the old local dialect. During his 1836 “Australia Felix” expedition, Major T.L. Mitchell camped on the banks of the Seven Creeks at Euroa. Euroa’s claim to fame is that Ned Kelly robbed the National Bank in 1878.
